At Driffield Championship Show yesterday, Ch Balboa Nembo Kid was awarded Terrier G1 by Judge Mrs Patsy Hollings, going on to win Reserve Best In Show under Judge Mr Derek Smith. This is what breed judge Max King, group judge Patsy Hollings and BIS judge Derek Smith had to say about him…
“Tasselli’s Ch Balboa Nembo Kid. Dog that exudes quality and demands attention, balanced throughout and a pleasure to go over, good length of head without being coarse, strong neck and shoulders, well bodied, presented in tip top condition, coat in very good order, moved with style and purpose”
— Breed Judge, Mr Max King
“The winner, without doubt was, Tasselli Balboa Nembo Kid. Kerry Blue Terrier. Dog. I had a lovely Group of grand terriers, but being honest I was thrilled to have the chance of getting my hands on this chap again. I judged him in the line up for best in show at Leeds and he impressed me then, however, today he really pulled out all the stops and I felt he was even better now. He looks good, never losing his shape and hands on he is cracking, so sound shapely and as fit as hell fire. His handler is calm and they work together as one. Has a super coat and blue colour. A real terrier in every sense of the word.
I went back on Sunday and was delighted to see him go res best in show behind the super min Poodle under one of our most experienced judges Derek Smith.”
— Group Judge, Mrs Patsy Hollings
“Reserve Best In Show was Tasselli’s Kerry Blue Ch Balboa Nembo Kid, who came into the ring like a stallion in full flight. Lovely headed dog with the darkest of eyes, lovely neck and well ribbed. Again oozes quality. He too is very sound, colour, coat and presentation exemplary, as was his muscle ton, a very worthy runner up.”
— Best In Show Judge, Mr Derek Smith
Ch Balboa Nembo Kid is now currently TOP TERRIER in the UK!
